CHRIS GUTTERIDGE - Chris has been with Angel Radio since 1999, and is Co-Manager of Angel Radio's Isle of Wight service.

BEV WEBSTER - Bev has been with Angel Radio since 1999, and is Co-Manager of Angel Radio's Isle of Wight service.

Chris and Bev hold down full time jobs away from the radio station. Most of their spare time, when they are not running Angel Radio, is spent raising funds, attending meetings, and completing forms, all part of the day to day tasks which have to be done to keep Angel Radio on air.

RICHARD ANSCOMBE - Richard has been with Angel Radio since 1999, and spends much of his time researching the music played on Angel Radio. He is continually adding songs to the library, as well as presenting a morning request show 9 to 12 noon weekdays except Thursdays. Richard is also one of the Angel Radio training team, which provides training modules for prospective team members.

MARGARET CRAWFORD - Margaret presents a 3 hour variety show on Wednesday afternoons called 'Margaret's Miscellany', particularly featuring the finer performances of the Dance Band era. She is assisted by a squirrel called Cyril who has been known to wind up the studio gramophone.

IAN MITCHELL - Together with his extensive music collection, moved to the Isle Of Wight in October 2006, having been a regular visitor since 1968. He joinedAngel Radio shortly thereafter and has been presenting the Blues & Jazz Experience on Monday evenings since Angel Radio went "live" on 91.5FM on 24th March 2007

DAVID SHIRLEY - David graduated from Oxford as a linguist in 1960, then spent 33 years in the computer industry, 24 of them as a managing director. His love of music began at the age of 3, he ran the music society at his secondary school and started a record label at university. His recordings include Dudley Moore, The Yale University Concert Band and his own mini-opera with music by Ernest Warburton.

He became involved with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as a sponsor in 1978 and later supplied it with computer systems for their complex payroll and accounts. The success of those systems led to orders from the Philharmonia and London Philharmonic orchestras. free tickets and rehearsal passes from all three orchestras enabled him to indulge his fascination with music making and to ask questions of eminent musicians. His personal friends included Yehudi Menuhin, Antal Dorati and Yuri Termirkanov as well as many orchestra players.

He moved to the Isle Of Wight in 1993 but soon got bored with retirement and indulged another of his passions, model railways. He created Fort Victoria Model Railway, the largest in the country, and also became chairman of the Visitor Attractions Association. In 1996 he made a series of private recordings as a tenor. He retired again in 2006, but soon became involved with another top professional orchestra, the Oxford Philomusica. In 2007 he brought 5 of their section leaders and their pianist / conducor to the Newport Medina Theatre, where a concert included 3 items sung by him and he began his long running series for Angel Radio, and also gave the first of several music appreciation evenings at Dimbola Lodge, Freshwater Bay.

His plans for 2009 include further recordings with the Oxford Philomusica, a special music presentation at Dimbola with the famous artist and record collector Graham Ovenden, and plenty more Angel Radio programmes. He has just returned to the Visitors Attractions Association as its chaiman. A relatively full schedule for someone entering his eighh decade.

THE ANGEL RADIO TEAM

We must make mention of a few very special people who have made their mark on the history of Angel Radio

ERIC ROSE - Eric was one of the first Angel Radio listeners to join the presentation team. He was also a great source of financial support. Although Eric passed away several years ago his voice can still be heard on the airwaves by means of his recorded shows

KEN WILSON - Ken joined Angel Radio on its 2nd RSL broadcast in 1999. He played up his grumpy, chain-smoking persona on air, but behind the scenes he was a good laugh and very supportive. He loved his hawaiian records. Although Ken has now passed away his support lives on through his wife PAT WILSON who has made a valuable contribution to our recording facilities.
